Review & Description

Adventures of Ulvik the Troll: Book 3 contains the final two tales of Ulvik’s adventures.

In the seventh tale, Ulvik’s friend appears to have been the victim of a ruthless robbery. With the help of his clever but knobbly-headed cousin, the trolls go in search of the culprit. Strangely, this leads them to the home of a very nice butcher. And even more strangely, Ulvik’s friend Uffa has a brilliant idea to save an ailing alehouse.

In the final tale, Ulvik and his friend decide to enter the annual Northumbrian poetry competition. Will they astound the judges with their hidden talents? And will you agree with the judges' choice of winner?

This book also contains appendices. These include the short story, Three Gruff Billy Goats, which is a different take on the much-loved Scandinavian fairy tale. It also tells of how Ulvik’s tales first came to be told.

The book is over 9,000 words long, contains two tales, an appendices, several pictures and a map.
It is suitable for children (8+), teenagers and adults.

Note.
Book III may be read without having first read Books I and II, although the books are meant to be read in order.

The stories are also published in Adventures of Ulvik the Troll: Complete. Read more
